Here’s a Summary of What You’ll Find in the 2015 P&G Sustainability Report

2015 Sustainability ReportToday, we released our 17th annual Sustainability Report. The report reinforces our ongoing commitment to operate sustainably, and outlines the progress we’ve made against our long-term vision of:

  • Manufacturing products consumers love while maximizing the conservation of resources,
  • Powering all of our plants with 100% renewable energy,
  • Using 100% renewable or recycled materials for all of our products and packaging, and
  • Having zero consumer and manufacturing waste go to landfill.

Other highlights you’ll find in the report include: 

  • Our recent efforts to address climate change, including a new goal to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2020
  • Two new partnerships that will increase the Company’s use of renewable energy
  • The progress we’re making in the sustainable sourcing of wood fiber and palm oil

The 2015 report also highlights the progress we’ve made in our social responsibility programs, which include: 

  • Our continued investment in helping those in need through our Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program by delivering more than 9 billion liters of clean water to children and families who do not have to clean water
  • Our efforts to help those impacted by natural disasters by providing in-kind product and monetary donations in the aftermath of more than 25 disasters globally over the past year

“Sustainability is a responsibility and a business opportunity. Since 2010, we have realized a cost savings of more than US$1.6 billion and have reduced our environmental impact. It is exciting to see the changes we are making in our operations, the benefits created for the business and the progress we are making against our sustainability goals,” said P&G Vice President of Sustainability Len Sauers.
