Recent Awards Recognize P&G Innovation, Diversity, Sustainability

Here’s a round-up of awards and recognitions we’ve received in recent weeks. Congratulations to all the P&Gers recognized!

National Association for Female Executives

Mary Lynn Ferguson-McHughThe National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) recently recognized Mary Lynn Ferguson-McHugh, Global Family Care Group President (pictured, right), for her outstanding support of executive women. NAFE also recognized P&G’s broader commitment to females in the workplace, where women hold 30% of all executive leadership roles—up 15% from 2000.

NAFE also ranked P&G in the top 10 for-profit companies for women, and awarded P&G a spot in the NAFE Hall of Fame as well—a recognition only received by three other companies.

Girl Scouts Women of Distinction

At a ceremony on March 10, the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio named P&G’s Chief Legal Officer and Secretary Debbie Majoras (pictured below, second from left) as one of its 2015 Women of Distinction. This annual award honors exceptional women in the community and celebrates the difference they are making for girls’ futures.

In her remarks, Debbie said:

“Let your Girl Scout Law, with its focus on honesty, fairness, consideration, courage, responsibility and respect, be a continuous touchstone for you long after you have packed away your (Girl Scout) sash and badges, reminding yourself of your choice to live according to these principles will guide you through the difficult situations and tough choices that will challenge you.”

INDA Lifetime Technical Achievement Award

The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA) recognized our own Thomas W. Federle, Ph.D. (pictured below, left), with a 2015 Lifetime Technical Achievement Award. In his 32-year career, Tom has contributed many technical innovations around the impact of chemicals on the environment and the biodegradability of products.

Winds of Change Magazine

Earlier this year, P&G was named a Top 50 Company for Native Americans in STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) for the third straight year by Winds of Change Magazine.

Most recently, we were 1 of 6 companies chosen for an in-depth story in Winds of Change that showcased our commitment to recruiting and supporting Native Americans at P&G. The story featured Dr. Chris Haught (pictured below), a Principal Scientist in Oral Care R&D and NAI (Cherokee).

American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan

P&G’s Pampers brand team in Azerbaijan received a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award for their contributions to the Hospital Sampling Program Association’s (HOSA) national effort to improve infant care education in Azerbaijan. The award recognizes corporations dedicated to improving society through its products and services.

UN Women

UN Women logoAdding to its already impressive list of awards, P&G's Pantene brand recently received the “Breaking Gender Stereotypes” Award from UN Women for its #ShineStrong video "Labels Against Women", which promotes powerful and positive portrayals of women.

UN Women, or the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, gives women around the world a voice and champions their needs at the global, regional and local levels. This award recognizes not only the “Labels” video, but also Pantene’s continued commitment to empower women around the world to be strong and shine.

Harris Reputation Poll

The Harris Reputation Poll ranked P&G 24th on a list of the 100 Most Visible Companies in North America, which evaluates the public perception of companies based on 20 distinct attributes. P&G has ranked in the top 25 on this list for the past four years.

FORTUNE Most Admired

FORTUNE Magazine ranked P&G No. 1 in the Cosmetics and Soaps industry, and 17th overall, on its 2015 list of the World’s Most Admired Companies. The list includes 50 companies that are all evaluated on attributes including innovation, investment value and social responsibility. P&G has consistently ranked in the top two in its industry for the past six years.
