IRI Pacesetters

P&G dominated the 2013 New Product Pacesetters™ list, launching seven of the top 10 most successful non-food products of the year. Published by the independent analytics firm Information Resources, Inc., the New Product Pacesetters list is acknowledged as the industry benchmark for new product launches.

P&G innovations making the list were Tide Pods (#1), ZzzQuil (#3), Vidal Sassoon Pro Series (#4), Downy Infusions (#6), Always/Tampax Radiant (#8), Secret Outlast (#9) and Puffs Basic (#10).

IRI also acknowledged six more of our brands on its list of “Rising Stars”—new products tracking to be 2015 Pacesetters. That list included Bounty DuraTowel, Old Spice Wild Collection, Duracell Quantum, Cascade Platinum, Febreze Sleep Serenity and Iams So Good.

Fortune Most Admired

P&G once again earned a top spot on FORTUNE’s list of Most Admired Companies, ranking #1 in our industry and #15 overall on the 2014 list.

The World's Most Admired Companies are rated on nine attributes such as ability to attract and retain talented people, quality of management, social responsibility to the community and the environment, innovativeness, quality of products or services, wise use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and effectiveness in doing business globally.

North American Shopper Marketing Awards

The North American Shopper Marketing Effie Awards honor the most effective shopper marketing efforts, attracting case studies from the best campaigns from manufacturers and retailers in the United States and Canada each year.

P&G took home 5 of the 11 Effies for 2014, which we received at the Path 2 Purchase Shopper Marketing Summit in Chicago on March 25. The winners were:

  • Pantene Weather Program: Manufacturer Awareness/Trial Program - GOLD
  • Crest Pro Health/Oral B: Manufacturer Multi Brand Shopper Solution - GOLD
  • Walgreens/P&G People’s Choice awards: Retailer Seasonal / Event - SILVER
  • Vicks ZZZQuil Sleep Aid: Manufacturer New Product Introduction - BRONZE
  • Tide Pods at Walmart: Manufacturer New Product Introduction - BRONZE


Gillette: PRWeek’s “Campaign of the Year”

On March 20, Gillette’s How Does the Man of Steel Shave? initiative earned top honors at the  2014 PRWeek Awards. In addition to scooping up the night’s top honor—Overall Campaign of the Year—it also received the Arts, Entertainment, & Media Campaign of the Year for 2014.
