Water Drop: An Update On P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program Efforts

From Malawi and Kenya to college campuses in the United States, the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program (CSDW) continues to spread the word about the importance of clean drinking water and implement programs that make clean drinking water a reality in areas where contaminated water sources are common. 

Each quarter, the CSDW team issues a newsletter that captures key highlights from the previous months. Read the latest issue of Water Drop to learn more about the following efforts as well as many others:

  • Clean water contributes to healthier childbirth in Malawi: CSDW is partnering on a new health program in Malawi that uses P&G water purification packets as an incentive to encourage at-risk Malawians to visit local health clinics.
  • Former P&G intern promotes clean water as college ambassador: Learn what one college student isdoing to help spread awareness for the crisis and the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program. 
  • P&G honored at Rio+20 Summit: P&G was among the companies commended by the judges at the 2012 World Business and Development Awards during Rio+20, a United Nations-sponsored event.
  • Responding to crisis in the Horn of Africa: Get an update on efforts to bring relief to the Horn of Africa, where years of famine and drought have devastated several countries including Ethiopia, putting that country at the center of one of the world’s most critical humanitarian crises.
