P&G Earns #1 Industry, #9 Overall Ranking on Fortune’s ‘Most Admired’ List

P&G has once again earned a top spot on Fortune’s list of Most Admired Companies. P&G ranked #1 in our industry and  #9 overall on the 2012 list – just released this week. In recent years, P&G has consistently earned the top spot within our industry while ranking in the top 10 of the overall list.

The World's Most Admired Companies are rated on nine attributes such as ability to attract and retain talented people, quality of management, social responsibility to the community and the environment, innovativeness, quality of products or services, wise use of corporate assets, financial soundness, long-term investment value and effectiveness in doing business globally. Since 1997, Hay Group has partnered with FORTUNE to identify and rank the Most Admired Companies. The FORTUNE World's Most Admired Companies study surveys top executives and directors from eligible companies, along with financial analysts, to identify the companies that enjoy the strongest reputations within their industries and across industries. They survey approximately 15,000 senior executives, outside directors, and industry analysts at the end of 2011.
