For the second consecutive year, Gartner named P&G a Supply Chain Master in its 2016 Supply Chain Top 25 rankings.

Gartner’s Supply Chain Master status sets P&G apart from the companies that appear on its Top 25 list. Supply Chain Masters represent an elite class of companies with long track records as leaders in operational excellence—including being ranked among the top five supply chains in the world for at least seven of the past ten years. P&G and Apple are the only two companies that earned this distinction in 2015 and 2016.

P&G’s global supply chain organization touches P&G brands at every step—from the sourcing of raw materials to manufacturing, from quality control to distribution to retail customers. Over 60,000 P&G employees make up our end-to-end global supply chain operations across Purchases, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Network Operations, and distribution.

In its announcement, Gartner recognized P&G’s supply chain innovation and excellence in making customer focus foremost, including leading-edge demand sensing at the store shelf, and product portfolio management that drives value creation on all products. P&G is in the middle of a large-scale supply chain re-design that will further make it one of the most innovative supply networks in the world.

Gartner has published its Supply Chain Top 25 ranking for 12 years, recognizing large manufacturers, retailers and distributors that demonstrate supply chain leadership in customer-driven partnerships, advanced analytics and corporate social responsibility.
