We’ve received some noteworthy honors over the last couple of months. Rather than post one story for each, we thought we’d combine them into one round-up story, with some of the highlights. The envelope, please…

Jodi Allen Named NAFE Woman of Excellence

Last week, our very own Jodi Allen, VP of North America Marketing & Brand Operations (pictured here, center), received the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) Mentorship Award, among its 2013 Women of Excellence.

The NAFE Women of Excellence award honors “women of courage and compassion who often have overcome obstacles to achieve success and who give back by helping other women – locally, nationally, globally.”

The Mentorship category honors a woman “who serves as an example of hard work and effective management, and who demonstrates a powerful commitment to advising other women and helping them advance.”

Jodi is a passionate mentor who places a high priority on building the capability and career success of others. We’re grateful for the leadership and example she sets in “lifting as she climbs”—mentoring many women and men across all levels of the Company, and around the world.

Sustainability Corporate Leader of the Year

The city of Cincinnati recognized P&G as the Sustainability Corporate Leader of the Year at its annual Greater Cincinnati 3E Green Business Summit.

With Sustainability: The New Path to Growing Your Business as this year’s theme, the goal of the summit is to bring together thought leaders in local businesses to network and share ideas on how adopting sustainability practices is good for the environment and business.

Each year, the city gives this award to a “corporate leader who has shown commitment in progressing a sustainability business agenda, both within their own organization, in their supply chain and in the community as a whole. The corporation has demonstrated a commitment to sustainable development by delivering environmental, social and economic programs that make a meaningful impact on both a regional and global level.”

Stiftung Warentest Rankings

Our Braun and Oral-B brands both recently received outstanding ratings from Stiftung Warentest, the most widely-known German magazine that tests and rates consumer products and services.

The new Braun Series 799cc-7 was rated best shaver in the test for both shaving results and handling. Three other Braun shavers ranked just below it—Braun °CoolTec, Braun Series 3 and Braun Series 5. The °CoolTec received high praise for its active cooling system, earning it a “very good” rating for skin friendliness.

Oral-B earned its sixth Stiftung Warentest win in a row, and has gone undefeated since the year 2000. The Oral-B Professional Care 1000 was the overall winner, and earned a “very good” rating in the teeth cleaning category.
