Here’s an overview of some recently-announced awards and recognitions for P&G and our people. Congratulations to everyone involved!  


P&Ger Named a Working Mother of the Year: 

Customer Business Development (CBD) VP Karen Silvis was recognized this month by Working Mother Media as a Working Mother of the Year.

The award recognizes Karen as a Master Mentor to other women, and as an inspirational leader. Karen also gives back to women by serving on P&G’s Corporate Women’s Leadership Team (CWLT) in service to the CBD function.

Karen and her son Jack (pictured) attended the Gala Award Dinner in New York City, where she received her Working Mother of the Year Plaque.

Congratulations, Karen, on this well-deserved recognition!


P&G Egypt Wins Stevie International Business Award

P&G Egypt earned the Gold Prize for the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program in the Middle East and Africa at the prestigious Stevie International Business Awards held in Paris on October 10.

The award went to Sharek.org—a first-of-its-kind website in Egypt and the Arab World aimed at encouraging corporate volunteerism. The website was created by P&G in partnership with PwC and IBM’s Egyptian affiliates.

The 2014 International Business Awards received over 3,500 entries from more than 60 nations and territories. The winners were selected by more than 250 business leaders worldwide.


Always #LikeaGirl Wins CLIO Award

At this month’s 55th Annual CLIO Awards, Leo Burnett won the Grand CLIO for the acclaimed P&G Always "#LikeAGirl" video. The campaign won an additional two Gold awards in the Engagement and Public Relations categories.

"It's an absolute honor to be awarded a prestigious Grand CLIO for our Always #LikeAGirl campaign," said Judy John, CEO and CCO, Leo Burnett Canada. "This film has shifted what it means to do things 'like a girl' from an insult to something amazing.


Universum
Names P&G a Most Attractive Employer

P&G was recognized by Universum as one of the “World’s Most Attractive Employers”—ranking 7th out of 50 companies on the business list and 12th out of 50 companies for engineering job seekers.


Interbrand’s Top 100 Global Brands

Three P&G brands earned spots on Interbrand’s 2014 list of the Top 100 Global Brands—Gillette at #18, Pampers at #30 and Duracell at #84. Interbrand compiles their annual list based on three key aspects of brands: financial performance, role of the brand in the purchase decision process and strength of the brand.
