UPDATE: Tornado Relief Efforts in the Southern U.S.

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 4:07 pm EDT

We've completed our disaster relief operations in response to the recent tornadoes in Arkansas and Mississippi. Over the last couple of days, 750 families have received relief supplies in the towns of Tupelo, Mantachie and Ritchie.

Many have begun the slow rebuilding process.

It was heartwarming to see the smiles on the faces of so many families as we provided everyday essentials such as Always, Bounty, Charmin, Crest, Head & Shoulders, Ivory, Gillette, Old Spice, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Secret, Tide and Venus.

Two Tide Dry Cleaners stores based in Little Rock, AK graciously provided 500 free laundry vouchers to the American Red Cross to distribute to those in need.

A huge thanks to our disaster response partner Matthew 25: Ministries, whose team did an outstanding job in the field. Our thanks also to Walmart in Tupelo, MS for allowing us to use their space.

Lastly, a special thanks to Howard Brannon, the Tupelo Walmart Store Manager, for directing the team to communities in need, and for personally helping to distribute our products. It's a great testament to the power of partnerships!
