    University of California-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business has named Procter & Gamble Group President of Global Business Services (GBS) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Filippo Passerini, recipient of the inaugural Fisher-Hopper Prize for Lifetime Achievement in CIO Leadership.   • P&G Responds To Flooding In The Philippines

    A massive clean-up is under way in the Philippines after floods swept through the capital of Manila and nearby provinces after 12 days of monsoon rains, compounded by a typhoon and tropical storms. Millions were affected by the flooding, and hundreds of thousands of people are still displaced and without power. P&G Philippines is responding with a “Rebuild Philippines” program to support flood victims and help them rebuild their homes and livelihoods. more...

    In Vietnam’s northern Hung Yen Province, Minh Phuong is one of the poorest communes in the district, and many children there do not have an opportunity to attend kindergarten. Their temporary classroom, a structure that is 500 – 600 years old and part of a pagoda (temple), is dark and damp, weathered and dilapidated, hardly an ideal environment for children and learning.more...
