"Using products such as Crest and Oral-B can give parents a peace of mind that their children are receiving excellent oral care – while knowing that these are products children will want to use."

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crest and Oral-B have teamed up with actress and mom of three, Jennie Garth, and her 9-year-old daughter, Lola, to inspire children and parents alike to brush up on their oral hygiene before heading back-to-school this fall. Together, they hope to educate families about how important it is to practice healthy lifestyle habits beginning at an early age – and how those habits can help children maintain good health and build confidence into adulthood.

“As a parent, I want to build a strong and healthy foundation for my daughters, which is why I have always tried to instill good habits related to nutrition, fitness and oral care,” says Garth. “Sometimes it’s more difficult to keep routines in place during the summer. The back-to-school season is a great time to build a schedule that works for the whole family and to identify the right tools to ensure we take the best care of ourselves.”

Crest and Oral-B are making it easier than ever to maintain healthy oral care habits this school year by introducing products to its kid-focused lines that make the process fun and worry-free for all ages. Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health FOR ME™, the FIRST complete line of oral care products for tweens (kids eight and up), has launched a new electric toothbrush to address oral care issues affecting this specific age group, particularly those with braces. Oral-B Stages, designed for children ranging from four months to seven years of age, has added a Disney® favorite, Jake and the Neverland Pirates™, to the product line.

“The most important part of oral care happens at home. Proper brushing and flossing habits, along with regular dental checkups, can help children establish positive lifestyle habits, while also preventing tooth decay and gum disease,” advises Dr. Jennifer Salzer, dentist, orthodontist and mom of four. “Using products such as Crest and Oral-B can give parents a peace of mind that their children are receiving excellent oral care – while knowing that these are products children will want to use.”

Crest and Oral-B want to help families re-establish their daily routines before school starts. To do so, they are partnering with CafeMom®, an online community for moms nationwide, to host a special event featuring Jennie Garth and daughter Lola in NYC on Wednesday, August 8th. During the event, parents and kids of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities and learn about the newest dental health products from Crest and Oral-B. Additionally, Jennie Garth will be answering your questions on the Oral-B Facebook page on Wednesday, August 8th at 12:00 p.m. ET. Join her to learn about her family’s back-to-school preparations, how she juggles it all as a working mom of three, her secrets to maintaining a healthy smile, and much more.
