CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) is partnering with Habitat for Humanity on a
global scale to fund the construction, repair, and cleaning of homes in
12 countries around the world. This commitment represents Habitat’s
highest level of global volunteer engagement in a single year, with
nearly 3,000 employees volunteering on more than 30 projects occurring
around the world in 2013.

skills of our employees to our partnership with Habitat for Humanity,
helping bring the comforts of home to families around the world,” said

longstanding relationship with Habitat for Humanity, and this new level
of global partnership will enable P&G employees to have an even greater
impact in communities where they work and live.”
This year, nearly 3,000 P&G employees will volunteer their time
alongside Habitat partner families in the United States, Singapore,
Malaysia, South Africa, Poland, Costa Rica and in many other countries
around the world. Some of the projects occurring in this year’s
In the Philippines, five homes are being built and families provided
with critical training on financial literacy, sanitation and hygiene.
P&G will provide an educational booklet on taking care of a new home
to all new Habitat families in the United States and Costa Rica.
Six homes will be built in Johannesburg, South Africa by P&G and
Habitat partner families.
In the United States, P&G will provide a gift basket of family and
home care products to all new Habitat families – an estimated 6,000.
Baskets include products like Charmin®, Dawn®
and Tide® – some of which will help families take care of
their home for up to six months.
Earlier this year, P&G employees in Singapore cleaned the homes of the
elderly, using brands like Bounty®, Febreze®,
Mr. Clean® and Swiffer®.
