Joan Lewis Named YWCA Woman of Achievement

Joan Lewis, P&G Officer & Senior Vice President, Global Consumer & Market Knowledge (pictured below) was recently recognized among seven other Women of Achievement by the YWCA of Cincinnati.

The YWCA Women of Achievement award recognizes women who exemplify personal career success, dynamic leadership qualities, and the unique ability to serve as role models.

Best Companies for Multicultural Women

Working Mother Magazine named P&G a Top 5 Company among its 2014 Best Companies for Multicultural Women based on our principles and practices of hiring, retaining and promoting women of color.

Working Mother is a key partner for our Global Diversity & Inclusion strategy, and this ranking is highly competitive among peer companies. This is the fourth consecutive year we’ve been a Top 10 company.

Three P&G Brands Recognized for Breakthrough Innovation

Forbes Magazine’s recent story on the Breakthrough Innovation Report award recipients named by Nielsen, three P&G brands—Febreze Car Vent Clip, Tide Pods, and ZzzQuil—were among the 14 awards given. 

The awards ceremony will take place June 23–25 in San Antonio, Texas.

Circle of Excellence Award for Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility

On May 13, P&G received the Circle of Excellence Award from the Distribution Business Management Association (DBMA). Esteemed throughout the industry as a symbol of quality, the Circle of Excellence award recognizes companies that are leading the way in: 

  • Commitment to awareness of community service issues and opportunities
  • Demonstrated success with environmental and disaster relief efforts that contribute to the company’s bottom line
  • Documented supply chain plans that will continue community service and disaster relief initiatives

P&G has a long history with DBMA and its executive arm, Supply Chain Leaders in Action (SCLA).  We’re one of 4 founding members of SCLA, which was established in 2006 to create a think tank among customers, suppliers, and manufacturers on various supply chain challenges, while also establishing a stronger link between academia and corporate America.

DuPont Packaging Awards

Our new packaging for Mr. Clean/Mr. Proper/Flash was a Gold Winner at the 2014 DuPont Packaging Awards, where judges called the unit-dosing bottle “an amazing, award-winning package.”

The annual DuPont Packaging Awards is the industry’s longest-running global, independently-judged competition, and is seen as one of the most prestigious packaging awards worldwide. P&G has been honored several times, including our awards for Tide Pods, Venus & Olay Razor, and Gillette Fusion ProGlide.

Gold Winner Mr. Clean Liquid Muscle is a 2.5x concentrated formula packaged with a single-squeeze dosing cap that eliminates waste. The new packaging was first introduced in the U.K. (Summer 2013), followed by a roll-out in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece and Spain (Fall 2013) and U.S./Canada (January 2014).
