Forbes Names P&G One Of ‘World’s Most Innovative Companies’

Forbes recently ranked P&G at #27 on its list of the 100 most innovative companies in the world. 

Forbes uses what it calls an “Innovation Premium” to compile the list. The formula is based on a company’s income, anticipated growth and cash flow valuations, among other factors.

Forbes analysts singled out people, process and philosophies as key factors in a company’s ability to be innovative.

“…our initial results show at least three key things that the innovative companies do to create and sustain an innovation premium,” according to Forbes.com. “How well companies leverage people, process, and philosophies (what we call the 3Ps) differentiates the best in class from the next in class when it comes to keeping innovation alive and delivering an innovation premium year after year.”

At P&G, innovation is so important that it’s considered a part of everyone’s job.

“Innovation is our lifeblood,” said Chief Technology Officer Bruce Brown (shown in photo). “It is in everything we do that improves the value consumers get from putting their trust in P&G brands. We earn that trust because we innovate for the way everyday life is lived.”
