Recent honors demonstrate Company’s commitment to innovation and giving a voice to everyone

Since late September, P&G has been commended for our strong innovation program by two noteworthy organizations. Additionally, our team in Thailand was honored with a prestigious award from the United Nations.

Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators for 2013

On Oct. 7, P&G earned the distinct honor of being named to the Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators list. Companies on this list must demonstrate an exceptional commitment to innovation, the protection of ideas and the commercialization of inventions.

The methodology for determining top innovators is based on overall patent volume, patent grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio and patent influence as evidenced by citations.

Boston Consulting Group Most Innovative Companies 2013

The Boston Consulting Group has collected data from more than 1500 senior executives annually since 2005 to determine the 50 companies that are most innovative. P&G’s ranking on this list jumped significantly from 2012, from #49 to #23.

The Boston Consulting Group has identified five key attributes that make strong innovators:

  • Top management is committed to innovation as a competitive advantage;
  • They leverage their IP;
  • They manage a portfolio of innovation initiatives;
  • They have a strong customer focus; and,
  • They insist on strong processes.

MY World Outreach Award for Asia-Pacific and Oceana

P&G Thailand was selected as the winner of the MY World Outreach Award for Asia-Pacific and Oceana from the United Nations. MY World is a global survey for citizens that captures people’s priorities and views to inform global leaders as they define development agendas.

By encouraging the people of Thailand to participate in the survey, the country ranked third in terms of overall participation in MY World. P&G Thailand passed campaign information on to employees, business partners, Thai state enterprises, governmental organizations and civil society organizations, and made it part of their overall corporate social responsibility plan.
