Oral-B® Teams up with Dr. Jonathan B. Levine to Improve America’s Oral Health

October 10, 2012

Charitable Partnership Encourages Americans to ‘Power Up’ their Oral Health While Contributing to a Greater Cause

Oral-B® is teaming up with world-renowned dental expert Dr. Jonathan B. Levine to improve America’s oral health. Together, Oral-B and Dr. Levine are encouraging people to ‘Power Up’ their oral health routine, while addressing the urgent need for oral health care in select areas of the United States.

While many Americans have a healthy mouth, there are more than 47 million people in the U.S. who live in places where it is difficult to access dental care.1 Oral-B and Dr. Levine are committed to this population, so together, they are bringing essential oral health services to those in need. Through Dr. Levine’s nonprofit organization, GLO GOOD, Oral-B will help provide basic dental cleanings, dental care products and important education to underserved Americans.

“I recently provided oral health screenings, treatments and services to hundreds of genocide survivors and their children in Rwanda. I believe everyone deserves to have a healthy smile, to be empowered by their smile, and to have the knowledge to manage their own oral health,” said Dr. Levine. “This year, by joining forces with Oral-B, a worldwide leader in the brushing market, we are able to help Americans take charge of their oral health by providing them with essential oral care services, products and education.”

One of the best and easiest ways Americans can ‘power up’ their oral health routine is by using an Oral-B power, or electric, toothbrush. The Oral-B Professional Care Smart Series power toothbrush line uses clinically-proven oscillating-rotating-pulsating technology to attack sticky plaque from multiple directions, providing more plaque-disrupting movements than regular manual brushes and the leading sonic technology toothbrush.

“Oral-B is committed to offering people solutions to care for their teeth and gums in order to help prevent issues like gum disease and promote overall oral health,” said Rishi Dhingra, Marketing Director, Procter and Gamble. “We’re excited to partner with Dr. Levine who shares this passion for promoting good oral care habits as an important part of one’s overall well-being.”

An expert who appears on “The Dr. Oz Show,” Dr. Levine is a world-renowned aesthetic dentist, oral care expert, author, inventor and active philanthropist. As a professor and program director of advanced aesthetics at New York University, he is committed to teaching, caring for his patients and innovating in everything he does. With more than 30 years’ experience in the dental profession, his mission is to teach, train and educate people on the importance of good oral health. Through his nonprofit organization, GLO GOOD, Dr. Levine is committed to building oral health initiatives in underserved populations.
